Bobby Genovese (Robert Genovese) is a Canadian businessman and serial entrepreneur who has founded and developed a range of businesses.
Genovese founded his first company at the age of 25 in his home of Ontario. He then went on to form the Investor Relations Group (IRG) in Vancouver, British Columbia before selling the company in 1995.
With a skill for spotting innovative ideas and attracting talent across a spectrum of industries, Genovese expanded his company leadership experience further with the creation of BG Capital Group Limited and BG Capital Management Corporation.
Genovese developed and launched BG Signature in 2013, which consisted of a portfolio of 12 exclusive luxury retreats in the US, Canada, Europe, South America and the Bahamas, including its flagship property, BG Equestrian Resort in Ocala, Florida, a 100-acre, year-round luxury equestrian retreat featuring world-class stables and lodging for traveling horse enthusiasts.
In 2015 under the BG umbrella, Genovese expanded his commitment to land conservation by partnering with the Department of Environmental Protection with the mission to protect ecotourism land and waterscapes of several Florida state parks, which include: Silver Springs State Park, Oleta River State Park, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park.
Bobby Genovese also dedicates his time, energy and substantial resources to philanthropic endeavors, including supporting Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, Canada’s largest and most sophisticated centre for pediatric cancer research, treatment and care. His chairmanship of the annual Car and Boat Rally Scavenger Cups, which began in 2007, has helped raise more than $16 million for the hospital’s research efforts.
An avid equestrian, Bobby Genovese enjoys riding horses, playing polo, traveling the world and spending time with his children.
